RE: I forgot my camera!!

I recently saw a Tundra in Corbin KY at the Pilot station pulling a 35ft 5er. The truck was sitting on its frame and didn't look safe at all. We waited about 20 minutes to give them time to get away from us....didn't want to be around them on the highway.

RE: DMax oil pressure

Mine is also low, normally in the 30 PSI range. I've been told this is normal for the 08's

RE: More Arizona speed camera's

I purchased a plastic cover that goes over my tags. When a picture is taken the image is distorted and they are unable to ID the vehicle. Never had any issues. Yes I do speed on a regular basis.
Do you ever watch Mythbusters?
They had a really good episode on how those things don't work at all...
No, I dont watch Mythbusters...never heard of it. All I know is that I drive approx 50K miles yearly and have passed many of these cameras doing over the speed limit without any problems.

RE: First Trip to Grand Canyon and Surrounding Areas

If you are leaving in a week and going to the north rim (Jacobs Lake area) I would plan on warm clothes this time of year. You may run into freezing temps at night in early October. I believe the road into the North Rim can close in late October early November due to heavy snow.

RE: Progressive insurance is no good

I agree with Bumpy. My experience with progressive on a recent claim was excellent. They were very easy to deal with and took care of everything in a quick professional manner.

RE: Diesel less than gas?

The price I was looking at is a station we stop at on I-75 near the Ohio border in Kentucky: (Flying J - Walton)
Fuel Prices
Ultra Low Sulfur* 3.829 Regular Unleaded 3.979
Low Sulfur* 3.829 Unleaded Plus 4.079
Car Diesel 3.829
Looks like gas is high and diesel is low. Of course these are cash prices. Expect another 9 cents for credit.
Diesel Note Class 8
yes you are correct. At quite a few places in Northern KY diesel is cheaper than regular by a few pennies. :B

RE: Digital TV Converter Box for RV/Travel Trailer

not trying to hijack your thread here, but if you have a new TV that can pickup HD channels, do you need one of these boxes? I recently installed a new plasma TV in our TT and am able to pick up many more channels than before.

RE: What are you pulling with your Chevy Trailblazer?

i would be careful towing much with a TB. We used to tow with one years ago, an 03 LTZ pulling around 4500# loaded. It would pull the TT OK, just didn't feel very stable or safe. We ended up trading it for a Yukon Denali which pulled the same TT much better. Not sure what your tow rating is, but I wouldn't go over 75-80% of the rating. Good luck with your decision.

RE: Equalizer..Should I Change From My EZ Lift?

I have a similar set up to yours, same TT. We have the equalizer hitch. It does a good job. I found my TT to be light on the tongue, so I load heavy on the front of the TT. I always travel with the water tank full (mine is forward of the axles) and it tows much better.
I prefer the Equalizer over the other hitches however I am not familiar with the EZ lift. It's easy to hook up and you don't have to remove the friction sway to back up. You can normally get the Equalizer hitch for around $300.
Good Luck.

RE: My new tow vehicle & a few ?'s

I think your truck will handle the TT fine. Yes you should get a WD hitch with sway control, it will improve your towing comfort quite a bit.
My uncle has the same truck as you pulling a 7000# TT and says it handles fine only wishes for more power on the hills. He tows I-71 from Cinti to Lousiville quite a bit and says the truck scrams on the hills.
Good luck
